Modern Slavery Policy

Introduction

London Laboratory Equipment LTD is committed to preventing Modern Slavery within its business operations. We recognise that Modern Slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. This policy outlines our approach to ensuring that our company and employees are not engaged in any form of Modern Slavery or human trafficking.

Scope

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and suppliers of London Laboratory Equipment LTD.

Definitions

  • Modern Slavery: The recruitment, movement, harboring, or receiving of children, women, or men through the use of force, coercion, abuse of vulnerability, deception, or other means for the purpose of exploitation.
  • Human Trafficking: The arrangement or facilitation of the travel of another person with a view to that person being exploited.

Company

London Laboratory Equipment LTD is responsible for:

  1. Ensuring that this policy is communicated to all employees and contractors.
  2. Ensuring all staff are aware of Modern Slavery and understand the importance of reporting any incidents.
  3. Conducting risk assessments to identify areas of the business that may be at risk of Modern Slavery.

Reporting

However, we encourage all employees to report any suspected instances of Modern Slavery directly to the management team. All reports will be handled with discretion, and no employee will suffer any retaliation for making a report in good faith.

Supplier Engagement

London Laboratory Equipment LTD sources products from suppliers within the European Union (EU) and China. Most of our EU and Chinese suppliers have robust Modern Slavery statements and take this issue very seriously. For suppliers outside the EU, specific Modern Slavery information may not be readily available. However, we ensure that we work with the most trusted suppliers who operate at a high standard and collaborate with reputable international clients. Our commitment is to engage with suppliers who uphold strong ethical standards, and we will continue to monitor and reassess our supplier relationships as our business grows.

Any employee found to be in violation of this policy may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Additionally, London Laboratory Equipment LTD will report any instances of Modern Slavery to the appropriate authorities.
