    Introduction

    London Laboratory Equipment LTD is committed to preventing Modern Slavery within its business operations and supply chain. We recognize that Modern Slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. This policy outlines our approach to ensuring that our company, employees, and suppliers are not engaged in any form of Modern Slavery or human trafficking.

    Scope

    This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and suppliers of London Laboratory Equipment LTD.

    Definitions

    • Modern Slavery: The recruitment, movement, harboring, or receiving of children, women, or men through the use of force, coercion, abuse of vulnerability, deception, or other means for the purpose of exploitation.
    • Human Trafficking: The arrangement or facilitation of the travel of another person with a view to that person being exploited.

    Responsibilities

    Company

    London Laboratory Equipment LTD is responsible for:

    1. Ensuring that this policy is communicated to all employees, contractors, and suppliers.
    2. Providing training to relevant employees on identifying and preventing Modern Slavery.
    3. Conducting risk assessments to identify areas of the business and supply chain that may be at risk of Modern Slavery.
    4. Implementing appropriate due diligence processes to prevent Modern Slavery in the supply chain.
    5. Investigating any reported instances of Modern Slavery and taking appropriate action.

    Employees

    All employees are responsible for:

    1. Complying with this policy and reporting any suspected instances of Modern Slavery to the Anti-Slavery Officer.
    2. Completing any required training on Modern Slavery.
    3. Signing a copy of this policy to show they have read and understood it.

    Suppliers

    All suppliers are required to:

    1. Comply with this policy and all applicable laws and regulations related to Modern Slavery.
    2. Implement appropriate due diligence processes to prevent Modern Slavery in their own operations and supply chains.
    3. Notify London Laboratory Equipment LTD immediately if they become aware of any instances of Modern Slavery in their operations or supply chains.
    4. Provide a copy of their anti-slavery policy upon request.

    Reporting

    Any suspected instances of Modern Slavery should be reported immediately to the Anti-Slavery Officer, Mahmood Farahmand. Reports can be made in person, by phone, or by email. All reports will be treated confidentially, and no employee will suffer any retaliation for making a report in good faith.

    Supplier Due Diligence

    London Laboratory Equipment LTD will conduct due diligence on all new suppliers to assess their risk of engaging in Modern Slavery. This due diligence may include:

    1. Reviewing supplier policies and procedures related to Modern Slavery.
    2. Conducting on-site audits of supplier facilities.
    3. Requiring suppliers to complete self-assessment questionnaires.
    4. Reviewing supplier ISO certifications, such as ISO 9001:2015.

    Existing suppliers will be assessed on a regular basis to ensure ongoing compliance with this policy.

    Training

    All relevant employees will receive training on identifying and preventing Modern Slavery. This training will be provided during the onboarding process and refreshed on a regular basis. All managers will be provided with additional training on this policy.

    Violations

    Any employee or supplier found to be in violation of this policy will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contract. In addition, London Laboratory Equipment LTD will report any instances of Modern Slavery to the appropriate authorities.

    Continuous Improvement

    London Laboratory Equipment LTD is committed to continuously improving its approach to preventing Modern Slavery. This policy will be reviewed on an annual basis to ensure it remains effective and up-to-date.
